Your first win with Vault.
Save a comp you built into your own library, then add it to a different project in a minute.
Vault keeps your own comps, presets and footage so you can reuse them without rebuilding. This is the shortest route from nothing to a reused asset. Your Local Library is a folder on your computer, so you need no account.
Screenshot pending: a second project’s timeline with the saved comp added as a layer, beside the Altar Vault panel.
- Save a comp
In a saved project, make the comp you built active, open Window → Extensions → Altar Vault, click Save, give it a name and a category, check the thumbnail and press Save to Local. Altar copies the comp’s footage into the package, so it travels. Details: Save something for reuse.
- Open another project
Open or create a saved project and make a comp active.
- Add it
In Vault, click Browse, select your asset and press Import. It lands in the active comp as a layer, with its footage beside your project in an
Altarfolder. Cmd/Ctrl+Z undoes it. Details: Find and add an asset.
